What's a Thru-Wall stove, and do I need one?

A Thru-Wall stove lets you load firewood from outside the sauna room, so bark, ash, and mess never enter your bathing space. It's worth considering if your sauna backs onto a mudroom, garage, or covered porch. If firewood access from inside the sauna works fine for your space, a standard model is simpler to install.
How do I know if I need the 12kW or 18kW model?

Sizing depends on your room's cubic volume plus extra allowance for glass, tile, or uninsulated surfaces. The 12kW covers 210 to 423 cubic feet, and the 18kW covers 317 to 635 cubic feet. Use our Sauna Heater Calculator to confirm which fits your space.
What installation requirements should I plan for?

Cozy Heat stoves need a proper chimney with correct clearance to combustible materials, and most outdoor installations require a permit. Thru-Wall models also need wall access for the exterior loading door, confirm your layout supports this before ordering.
How much maintenance does a Cozy Heat stove need?

Regular ash removal after each use, periodic stone replacement as they break down from heat cycling, and an occasional chimney inspection to keep draft and airflow working properly.
