How do I know what size electric heater I need?

Electric heaters are sold by a fixed kW rating, and getting the size right matters more here than with wood-burning.

If the heater is undersized, your sauna simply won't reach temperature. Sizing depends on your room's cubic volume plus extra allowance for any glass, tile, or uninsulated surfaces.

Do I need an electrician to install an electric sauna heater?

Yes. All electric sauna heaters require a licensed electrician for installation, regardless of size, since they run on 240V or 208V circuits.

What's the difference between wall-mounted and floor-standing heaters?

Wall-mounted heaters save floor space and suit smaller or tighter rooms.

Floor-standing models hold more stones, giving a stronger löyly and a more traditional sauna feel.
Can I control my sauna heater from my phone?
