HUUM

Founded by Siim Nellis, a third-generation Estonian sauna stove maker, HUUM builds heaters using very little metal by design, so more of the heat comes from the stones themselves. The result, softer, longer-lasting steam, and a design distinctive enough to win two Red Dot awards.

Why do HUUM heaters use so little metal?

It's a deliberate design choice. By minimizing the metal frame around the stones, more of the heat radiates from the stones themselves rather than the metal, producing a softer, more even steam. This is the same principle behind the original DROP design.
What's the difference between HUUM's heater series?

DROP is the original wall-mounted design. HIVE is floor-standing with the largest stone capacity, best for the softest, longest-lasting steam. CLIFF is a slim wall-mounted option built for tight spaces. STEEL is a compact, industrial design that can sit as close as 2 inches from the wall. Do I need to buy a controller separately?

Yes. Every HUUM heater pairs with the UKU controller system, sold separately so you can choose between Local (on-site only) or WiFi (adds app control and scheduling), and pick a panel finish that fits your sauna.
Does HUUM make wood-burning heaters too?

Yes. Alongside its electric lineup, HUUM also makes wood-burning stoves for a traditional, off-grid sauna experience.
Do I need an electrician to install a HUUM electric heater?

Yes. All electric sauna heaters require a licensed electrician for installation, regardless of size.
